    3. My Texas Wests settled in the Waxahachie, Glen Rose Area. Martha West (b. 1869 Alabama) married George Robert Robertson (1860 Alabama) in 1883 in Alabama and they moved to Tx around the turn of the century. Martha was the daughter of John Pinckey West (b 1841 SC) who was the son of Wm West (b1759/1763 in VA). Vicki Alvin, Texas

    3. I also have a John Pickney West born in Spartanburg, SC in 1825 and died there in 1854. He was the son of Simon West and Kizziah Boiter West. I have not been able to find the parents of Simon West born in 1784 and died in Spartanburg, SC in 1857. Arrilla Angeline Jennings West, widow of John Pickney West, and her three children were in Marshall Co . Alabama in 1860 living with her parents Elisha nd Louisa Jennings. Wonder if there is a connection. Sue

    3. Hello all, I post periodically also looking for West cousins in Marshall Co Al. Noted your posting with the name 'Arrilla' and I remembered I have a copy of a marriage license for one with that name. Interestingly, this seems like an unusual name, but there was another with that name in that area. Arrilla Jane West married 20 Oct 1867 to someone whose name was erased and then written in again over that smearing the name. Last name possibly began with a 'P', next letters look like 'oto' or 'ata'. I have copies of documents with various Wests, most not related to me that I know of.
