Hi Arthur I'll have to admit that most of the traffic in this mailing list appears to be American oriented. As you say however most of the Wests are immigrants from the UK and that is true of my ancestors also. The only information that I have is that my line decends from a Francis West born about 1605, 06 in Salisbury. He married a Margery Reeves, who some say , was born on the Isle of Wight. The possible father has been listed as either Francis, who also maried a Margaret, born About 1589 or a Richard who left a will published in 1623 in Salisbury. This is the extent of my knowege about my UK roots but always eager to expand my data base. Best Wishes Joe West
