Since this list is so active, I'm going to try once more. I am still seeking a family for my great-great-grandfather was Christopher Columbus WEST who was in Cherokee County, AL in 1860 and 1870 and in Jackson County, AL in the early 70s where I found him borrowing money to make a crop. Christopher was called "Lum" or Lumb." According to census records, he was born in Alabama. There was a somewhat older Charles WEST in Jackson County during the same period who could have been his father, older brother or no relation at all. I can only prove that they knew each other. "Lum" was married to Elizabeth REED about 1855. Their children were: Martha J., Izzy Dora, Callie D., Sarah J. "Sallie", Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" (my great-grandmother), James E., John W., Frances A., Charles C. and Lurlina. I would appreciate any help, even "educated guesses." I'm getting a concussion from butting my head on this brick wall. Mildred "Mickey" Fournier 1730 SE County Rd 252 Lake City, FL 32025-1703 mailto:[email protected]
