Thanks to someone pointing me towards a Warrick county website that had alot of names and dates I was able to make a crucial connection regarding my WEST. My Great-Granny Mary Hesson married her 1st husband on August 8th, 1891 when she was 19 years old. The man was named JOHN WEST, and he was 22 years old. HIS parents were WILLIAM WEST & CATHERINE HALL. THEY were married in Warrick County on March 28, 1844. In addition to my John they had at least 1 Daughter, named Mary B. This is all I know about JOHN. I find it interesting that his parents apparently had children over a 25 year period, and that the 2 above must have been their youngest. You see, after they got hitched, John & Mary had 1 child, named Margaret, born in December 1892. Margaret died in 1938, in Owensboro, KY. as the wife of a Goebbel Jewell. On November 16, 1893, Mary West married her 2nd husband, Elijah M. Skelton, and in the 1900 census they are seperated, with her and Margaret as boarders with her eventual 3rd husband, and Elijah living with his mother. I have no clue, yet, as to the fate of JOHN WEST, his sister, siblings, or parents. Did he die in 1891, 92, or 93, or was there a divorce, and did he go on to marry again, have a new family, and later die a much happier camper than my Mary made him? While he is no relation to ME I am interested in him & his family as regards to the connection with my much married Great-Granny. Another interesting fact is that her 2nd husbands mother was also a HALL (Louisa Jane), and could be related to Catherine, AND my Grandfather could be a product of this 2nd marriage instead of the next one on her list of conquests, like we all believed until now. :-) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
