What I am able to find is this: James F. WEST was son of William Bluford WEST b. abt. 1818 in NC and Jane TILLERY b. abt. 1815 NC. William Bluford WEST d. before the 1860 census where the family is found in McKee, Jackson Co., KY. In 1870 the family is found in McKee, Jackson Co., KY. By the 1920 census, James F. WEST was in West Irvine Precinct, Estill Co., KY with wife Lucy B. and children: Mamie, Bluford, H. (girl -- can't read her name), Edward, Thadius and George. Hope this helps.
