    1. Re: [WEST-L] Willis West
    2. Bradley, I am glad you asked the million dollar question. Not that we know of. We (Fran West Powell and I) have been trying to get someone from the family of Willis West to participate. Nothing yet. My name is Alice West Ferguson and my brother, Rudy West participated last year. We match 12 out of 12 markers with James West, b. 1798, SC. We believe that we are connected to his first wife and children. No records of name from the marriage only ages. He moved to TN and later moved to MS where he died. I am in contact with James West descendants (2 female cousins (Mary Hill and Beth Strue)) who lived in TX. There is another gentleman, Joseph West whom we matched also. He had an extra marker, 13th marker. But we all had 12 out of 12. We think James West was related to Willis, maybe a brother or nephew. Maybe you can find something out since we hit a brick wall. We believe that we are connected to the Willis West family. My g grandfather, Silas West lived in the same block of dwellings as his son Lloyd West descendants of Willis West in the Westbrook Township, Sampson Co., NC. How does one get families to take the DNA test? Its really easy. The four of us chipped into together and paid for out DNA test. Alice WEST Ferguson ...
