Dear Edith Anything you can find for me is greatly appreciated. I have Vincent and his wife on census for 1880 Tippecanoe, Tippecanoe, Indiana. Vincent listed as 25 and wife Harriet(she went by Belle) as 20. In the 1930 census I have Belle married to Samuel Lewis Johnson(he went by Lewis) living in Portage twp., St Joseph County Indiana. I know this is correct as Lewis Johnsons daughter my ggrandmother married Vincent West and Harriet Belle (Smith) West son, William T West. Pearl Johnson and William T West married in Marshall County Indiana August 07, 1900. In the WPA Marriages for Marshall County Indiana under West it lists William T Wests mother as Carrie B (Smith). What do you make of that? Vincent Wests older son Oliver A West married Cora E Stephens of South Bend Indiana25 August 1900 in Plymouth Marshall County Indiana Harry West the youngest known child of Vincent and Harriet West died at age 6yrs. Source The Plymouth Republican dated 06 December. 1894. Vincent West died West Twp. Plymouth Marshall County, Indiana 07 September 1904 his age was listed as 52yrs,5 months in the Plymouth Tribune dated 15 September, 1904. I hope some of this helps.
