Hi Researchers, Does anyone have access to Minutes, wills, deeds from Sampson County Courthouse in Sampson County, NC? I am looking for information on anything that has to do with Silas or Silas L. West b. abt. 1832, Westbrook Township, Sampson County, NC. Silas and his wife, Winnie Barefoot owned land in a community called "THE PINEY" in the same county. I am trying to find out how and whom it was acquired from in the late 1800's. I can't seem to find out who his proven parents were, since there was no records of his birth or death. I only know that he was born in NC and died in Westbrook Township, Sampson County, NC. He died aft.1900 and bef. 1910. There were no certificates for either before 1913.
