Just out of curiosity has any one came across a John Martin West whi may have used Martin West?He would be my Ggrandfather and he disappeared from the K.C Mo train station after withdrawing a large sum of money to buy land in OklahomaThis was in 1896 or 1897.His young wife(Maggie Ann Phillips) had jus died leaving 8 children SO I have always wondered if he did Disappear or did something happen to him.He was from Winston,Mo Dekalb County.His parents were Horeb and Mary Jane(Polly)Glenn Hammack West.Originally from Madison Co.Ky and William and Lydia George West of Fauquier Co.Va.Lydia was the daughter of Nicholas George the VI and was a direct decentant of Nicholas George the 1st who helped settle the Isle of Wight Va by 1638. I can,t seem to find any earlier Wests other than William and would appreciate any input.I have lots of info from them on down and would share.Thanks so much. Denise Huffman Cameron,Mo
