Summary Includes a typed transcript (6 leaves) of the last 15 p. of the ledger of the Alms House, which is still standing as of this compilation, to the west of Route 13, North of the Mochipongo Crossroad in Northampton County, Virginia. The entire ledger contains 105 p., which include accounts for the managing of the institution and provide a good picture of life at the Alms House in the 18th century. Only the last 15 p. of the ledger are found in this transcript, and this portion contains genealogical data, such as the date, name, age and race of paupers that were born, admitted, discharged or died in the institution.
