Dean, Sorry didn't get this back sooner but we are upgrading our computors to Win 98 and have run into some problems, hope we will get it all solved soon. Yes, maybe we are gaining on our Jacob and John Rhodes, I have an article that was passed on to me years ago from my husbands aunt, his side of the line, it was in the Genealogical Helper, June 1960 Page 43, well faded but readable, "Shenandoah Valley Poineer Descendants Who Moved to Ohio and Told" tells about John the minister and his family, how they were kiled. It mentions son Joseph who married Mary Strickler, d/o Abraham Strickler and son Micheal who was taken by the Indians and how he escapted later. Also have some information off the World Family Tree disks that name the children of John except for Jacob, in other file it list Jacob and etc. if you access to FTW you can find them, on of the goes back a few more generations to Switzerland. It would be nice if it all connected. I have a paper that says John Rhodes was in the War of 1812, Captain Gray's Company entered on the 4 Jun 1814 and discharged 12 Jun 1814 I also have a little on the Beam/Beem family. I belive you must have looked at my home page and found all the family connection, I hope so.
