I have noted the discussions about Due West. When I was looking for West information in St. Clair Co, IL (Belleville), I found a Due West, the daughter of Washington West and Mary Agnes Wolfe. I don't have a birth date, but some of her siblings were born in the 1870's. Other siblings include Basmath, Booth, Mary Agnes, Washington Jr, Maria Katherine, Stephani, Ruth, and Grace Byron. Washington West was born 2-8-1847 in Belleville, IL. His father had moved to IL from Virginia around 1818. Since this is not 'my' line, I did not record the source of the info., but I'm sure that I got it in Belleville. Hope this helps explain the Due West mystery.
