Does anyone have any Wests in England for the time period of approximately 1770 to 1850? And if so, would you know the location where they lived? My great-grandfather (Benjamin West--not the painter) was born somewhere in England, probably around 1820 or so. He married Rebecca Harvey (born in Ireland) and had at least two children in Ireland in 1847and 1849 before coming to the United States also in 1849 (do not know the port of entry). I would like very much to find an area in England where the family may have lived in order to check further. Thank you very much. Joanne
