Hi All, My family has two traditions which have come down through the years. The first is the very Southern tradition of serving black eyed peas on New Year's Day. The second is leaving the Christmas tree up until after the New Year has been welcomed in, thus making it at least the 2nd of January before it can come down. To violate either of these traditions is said to bring on very bad luck. Happy Holidays to everyone. Ida
