    3. Hi: In our family candied sweet potatoes have become a tradition. It came down from my grandma Doyle to my Dad John Doyle and to me. If I don't make them, I hear from my kids and grandkids. Since my husband is Italian, one year I thought I'd do italian. No one complained and they ate what was there, but--as Thanksgiving approached the next year, my Grandaughter, Jill let her thought be known. Grandma, please let's have a traditional Thanksgiving. So, I'm back to turkey, dressing, Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, veggies and salad and rolls and of course pumpkin pie. This year we'll be 14 instead of our usual 23. They grow up and life changes. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Rosie
