My grandfather, Elijah Samuel West, was born February 16, 1870, in Ohio or West Virginia, I think. He married Jessie Buchanan in Pleasants County, WV, on August 22, 1894. Elijah and his brothers James and Albert came to South Dakota in the early years of this century and all died here, Elijah on December 23, 1948. I think Elijah's father was Sylvester, probably from Ohio, but I don't have any concrete information. Does anyone on this list know anything about this family? Thank you for any help you can give me.
