My West line begins with John West born at Shepton Mallet, Somersetshire, England, September 25, 1828. Immigrated to US as a child and lived at Manayunk, Pa until 1847. Married Elizabeth Allison in Oriskany, N.Y. in 1852. Family moved to West Chicago, Illinois where John West lived until his death in 1898. Son, John A. West Daughter, Carrie West (wife of J.T.
