The farthest back I have gotten my Wests is Mathew West born 1790 in Virginia. He married Mary ? who was born 1796 in Virginia and died in Spencer Township, Ohio. He also died in Spencer Township, Ohio. They had seven children. One of them was James Madison West born August 27, 1810 in Old Washington, Guernsey, Ohio.
