I received this letter in 1982: Dear Mr. West: My husband, John Arthur West, died 12 years ago. He had two brothers and four sisters, namely: William, deceased Orville Clara, deceased Minnie, deceased Myrtle Roberta Their father's name was Wlaker West and mother's, Fanny Lockhart. They lived in Elizabeth, Wirt County, West Virginia. I am sure they were no relation to your family. I have lived in Parkersburg 93 years, and have never heard of any of your family members you mentioned. Sorry I have been unable to be of assistance in enabling you to trace your family tree. Very truly yours, (Mrs.) Della West This was in response to a letter I had written inquiring about the William West family near Waverly, Wood CO, WV. The LDS has a record on Passmore and John Otho West that references a Walker West as relative. I have not been able to find out what relationship Walker had to these names.
