Looking for info on the parents/family of Esquire WEST, b. 1809 Highland county, Ohio to Wm. & Sarah WEST. Wm. was in the War of 1812 and received a land bounty in Bartholomew County, Indiana (now Camp Atterbury). Squire was in Bartholomew county and was in the Mex.-Am. War. He married Ranah MATHIS (Cherokee) in Bartholomew County in 1848. They lived in Brown County, Indiana and raised a large family, part of which went on to Missouri and Arkansas. Esquire West had a half sister, Lavina (mother was Sarah Hardin) who also was in Brown & Bartholomew Counties and married Wm. Reynolds & Warren Rhude. We suspect that Wm.
