Can anyone help me sort out the Enos West of Fayette Co, Penn. The one I am looking for is the son of Jonathan R. West and Drusilla Downer. This Enos West was born 22 Mar 1825. Any FHC Library will be able to order the following: WEST GENEALOGY: NOTES OF LETTA BROCK STONE. Film Call # 1421738 concerns primarily WEST families who once lived in NC. Call # 1421737 concerns WEST families who once lived in GA. Other states are covered. My use of the films to date has been limited to those above-cited. For persons unfamiliar with the Family History Centers, the LIbraries offer microfilm (and perhaps other materials such as fiche, published) on a rental basis for research on premises. Each film is more or less, about three dollars for a three week rental period. The materials on WEST families to be found in the above-referenced notes is worth hundreds of times the rental fee(s). Richard Culbertson posted a WEST line which moved early into Mississippi/Louisiana area including William WEST b. abt 1780. I am researching possibly the same William WEST who appears in East Feliciana Parish, La 1830 census with 1M20-30, 1M40-50; 1F5-10, 2F10-15, and 2F15-20. Living nearby was Levi DOUGHTY. In Levi DOUGHTY household was grandson, Richard DOUGHTY, b. 1815 who will marry 1833 Charlotte WEST whom I believe is one of daughters of this referenced William WEST. Family tradition is that Charlotte WEST was one of five daughters (fits) and that one of her sisters, Elisabeth WEST married Charlie RICHARDSON. Need names of females in this William WEST family.
