    2. West Cousins, I had hoped that everyone would wait until all the"dust" settles before unsubscribing. I am sorry that the questions of a newbie has upset two or three subscribers, but if you feel you must unsubscribe, here are the insturctions for doing so: Send a post to WEST-L-request@rootsweb.com Type only the word SUBSCRIBE in the body of the text. Hope we can get back to genealogy now. You are a great group of cousins to research with. I tell everyone that WEST cousins are the best. Happy hunting, Myra Listowner

    3. Sorry, I am so late in getting in on this, but I receive the digest mode (because I belong to so many genealogy mailing lists) so I can handle the mail. I was a "newbie" once -- in fact compared to a lot of the others, I still am a "newbie". I remember it took me two weeks to figure out how to submit a URL, because I was afraid to ask questions. If you aren't interested or don't care to help -- JUST DELETE! Thanks Rick, Becky, Claud, and Myra for caring and helping those only beginning! I agree with Claud, "Lighten Up." Can't we be human and enjoy this search with one another? 2. Clem, Your uncles could very well have gone to OK. My grandfather, Walter West, moved his family to Stephens Co., OK in 1923. His brother, Claude, already lived there. Don't know when or why Claude moved there. Perhpaps some other Wests already lived there. Myra

I am glad that everyone does not think like you or we would all be in trouble INCLUDING you.

    3. Flossy, I don't mean to be "un-neighborly" but your postings to this list are really not appropriate. The purpose of this list is to trade/obtain information about our West family geneology. This is not a chat room or a forum to use in learning how to use the internet and e-mail. It sounds like you need to call your Internet Service Provider to ask about some of the things that are appearing in your e-mail, and find a friend who is computer literate and knows the internet to help you. Do you realize that each time you post your questions about "how do I do this or that" you are e-mailing them to hundreds of people? All of us are looking for GENEOLOGY information and it is a waste of time for us to read posts that have nothing to do with what we are looking for. (sorry!) You obviously need help, but this is not the appropriate place to get it. Please limit your postings to WEST GENEOLOGY. Thank you, Pati >From: Avis West <gwest@mail.portup.com> >Subject: Re: [WEST-L] nametags >In-Reply-To: <19990209.162724.-85121.4.flossymelton@juno.com> >To: WEST-L@rootsweb.com > >OK you have done it. 3. Hi all! I am stuck...I've been looking for information on the ancestory of my Great Great Grandfather, Harvey West. He lived in Schuyler County, Missouri and married Marietta (or Mary Etta) Waddle. Together they had three children - Lou (m), Rena (f) and Anna May. Anna May was my GGrandmother. She was born 4/11/1881 and died 2/13/1949. Unfortuantely, I do not have dates for b/d for Harvey, but I would guess that he was born around 1850-1860. Does anyone have ANY informatin about Harvey? Help! Thanks, Pati ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
