    3. I am researching the family of Henry West b. 1785 in N.C. Wife Elizabth. Had a daughter Arena in 1811, she married Thomas Renfro in SC(?) and moved to Al. Had son named Solomon in 1848. As I researched I found a Solomon West in the Carolinas and tried to fit him into family thinking he was Arena's uncle and she named her son for him. Had no luck on this. Do you have any of my Wests in your line? Would appreciate info. Jackie

    2. I have an odd problem. At least it seems odd to me. My ggrandfather Joseph Valentine West, yes, today is his birthday but in 1862,, apparently killed one of his brothers who ran off with his wife. Wife was Florence Baker. Problem is I don't know which brother. Here are the choices, Andrew Jackson West, John Adams West, George Washington West and William. Their father's name was also William. Anyone have dead relatives that match this crew? When Joseph had grandchildren they all thought he was the sweetest kindest gentlest man on earth and had trouble believing the stary. No charges ere ever filed. I haven't found any f the deaths. HELP! Nessa

    3. Hi Cousins, I have a question for Barbee or whoever might have the answer. The John WEST and the William WEST that are mentioned in "The Leedom Family" by Sara A.L.Eachus, Dorrance & Co., 828 Lancaster Ave Bryn Mawr PA. Pub 1982, could they have ended up in Tennessee? Still trying to find information on the WESTS from Hawkins County (mostly), Tennessee. Also found a new name among my research. In the 1880 census from Hawkins County, TN, Sarah J., daughter of Sarah WEST is living with her Mother, sister, Lydia, brother, George (my grandfather), husband, Joseph BOWMAN (new name) and 1 year old son, John. Anyone got a BOWMAN tied in with their WESTS? Thanks for the help. Phyllis WEST Parsons, Indiana

    3. I can't speak to ears for my relatives, but mine stick out. However, there are a couple other features which seem to pass down through the generations on male side. Myself, my father, my uncles, and my grandfather all have a large well defined mole on the back of our left calves. We also all have a mole on our left cheeks. For some this mole is very noticeable, for others like myself, the only way to know its there is to feel the cheek and feel the hard tissue and slight bump where the mole should be. My father was very artistic. He played in Elvis Presley's band in Germany, when Elvis was in the service. Unfortunately, he failed to pass down his musical ability to me. I can sing but thats it. He could also draw--me, I can't draw a squiggly line! ...tim west...
