Hi Dawn: There are 3 Alfred Wests in the 1881 Arkansas census at www.familysearch.org. Check them out. (BTW, what county is Wrightsville in?) OR If you know old he was when he died, you can calculate a possible birth year, and use that to help locate him in the 1881 census, assuming he wasn't in Akansas immediately prior to his death. Karen, I have seen several of your entries and believe we come from the same line..albeit aways back. I noted a William West married to a Sarah (last name unknown) and they had four Children, Joan, James, William and Rebecca. William's parents were John West and Sarah Pearson (1690-1776 and 1697-1756 respectively). Anyway - the dates are off some so may not be the same line. Does anyone on the list have a James West who married Elizabeth Peacock in Burlington County, NJ, in about 1778? Have seen very little info on this marriage and am not sure that it did occur, although I did find it on a DAR application done in 1963. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Doris

According to history, Frederick County was populated by protestants imported from Penn. So I think William's family came from Penn. Later William and at least two children, Jacob and Joshua Wesley, moved to Ohio. Could your West's be related to my West's??
