    1. [WEST-L] John W. West
    2. Dawn West
    3. While everyone is posting info on their John Wests, can I post info on the guy I'm looking for....he's a mystery, typical. I do not know relations or anything else, all I know about this individual is that he lived in Centre County Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. My line, Hugh St. Clair West, was born in 1826 in Centre County and then in 1855 I have a deed where Hugh and a John W. West purchased a piece of property. I'm trying to find out if this John is Hugh's dad, brother, uncle??? And I'm lost. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Dawn West

Susannah White) James John (yes, another) Joseph (m. Sarah Stanley, moved to Baldwin Co., GA) Sally (m. Moses Stanley) Elizabeth (m. Robert Ivey, moved to Baldwin Co., GA) Nancy I would like to correspond with anyone who has information about my John or his children. Thanks! Bob West

    3. I want you all to know that obviously my brain was NOT present when I made such a stupid mistake earlier today. Yes, there is a JOHN WEST in my family files but he did NOT marry Nancy WITT, our own JOHN PERRIN did that. I should know by now not to ever mention particulars without checking the files first. All of you that responded I will check every name you sent me against those files and I will let you know as soon as possible if ANY of those names are mentioned. 1. [WEST-L] Texas - West and Rogers Family
    2. Franigan
    3. Can anyone help me connect my great-grandmother... as is usually the case, I don't have much to go on, but what I have is verified. Martha "Mattie" A. West married Willis Marion "Doc" Rogers in 1878 in Denton County, Texas their children were: Mary Magdalene 1880 William Henry 1885 John Burton 1889 Martha died shortly after John Burton was born and John was raised in Oklahoma by a brother to Doc. John Burton died very young (1907) and is buried in Snyder County, Oklahoma. Family information indicates that Martha died in Texas as that is where all 3 children were born. I have the original marriage certificate but cannot seem to find any more information on her. Stories say that she may have been the only daughter of a wealthy Texas family and they did not approve of Doc so Mattie and Doc eloped. Thanks in advance, Fran

    1. [WEST-L] Adventures of Purse and Person. /Col. Francis West & Susannah LIttlepage
    2. Does anyone know where I can purchase the book "Adventures of Purse and Person"? Or obtain it on a site? It mentions that Col Francis West married Susannah Littlepage and there is substantial proof to back this up. Also in the LIttlepage History it states he married Susannah daughter of Richard Littlepage of King William and New Kent Co., Va. I have never found any proof that any of Francis West's children belonged to Susanah COLE and everyone lists his children as belonging to his Third Wife JANE COLE. There is absolutely no way ANY of these children could belong to JANE COLE. She did not marry Francis West until after her second husband died. She married Francis West in 1761. I have had to "assume" ,at least for now, that my Ancestor RICHARD WEST was the son of FRANCIS AND SUSANNAH LITTLEPAGE WEST. Especially as her father's name was Richard. All the facts I have leads me to have to "assume" this. Trying to find any proof. Thank You, Marlene West Perry
