Can anyone help knock down a brick wall please! We are trying to establish the parents of Joseph FOOT born, thought, in Berwick St John c. 1760 in Wiltshire. He married Catherine Dibben/Dybben on 7th December 1785 at Gussage St Michael in Dorset. There appear to be two FOOT families in and around Berwick St John one of whom was very well off but each frequently used the same first names for their children and inconsequence there are several Josephs! It is thought that the two families were related at some stage. The two possible parents are Robert and Fortune FOOT of Berwick St John and Gussage St Michael and the other, possibly the best guess, is Joseph and Sarah ( nee Brewer ) of Sixpenny Handley Any clues at all appreciated to knock down a 20 year old wall.
