I am trying again because I drew a blank a few months ago! Does anyone on the list have a record of a Francis Seward born Chard circa 1814 on their trees/interest list? I have found him and family in all the Ilminster, Somerset censuses and have found his obituary of 1876. So I know he did exist! He married Jane BROWN in Ilminster and he was a tailor by occupation. I know that some parishes near Chard come under Devon or have been reassigned over the years so may be I have concentrated too much on Somerset.
