Apologies for that and accordingly, going on the information below, my look up request is simplified to the following - a & b) Baptism for Rachel & Prudence Cabell/Cabbell daughters of Joseph & Prudence between 1730 & 1735 c) Burial for a Prudence Cabell/Cabbell around 1735 wife of Joseph d) Marriage for Joseph Cabell/Cabbell & Ann ? after c) above e) Baptisms of Mary, Betty and Joseph children of Joseph & Ann f) burial of Joseph Cabell/Cabbell around 1761/2 I do, of course, mean the parish of Road, Somerset, between Frome & Trowbridge, otherwise known as Roade or more recently Rode, and which might just fall under the remit of the Frome list. The change in the request is based on a couple of wills from Trowbridge which help to explain this jumping back & forth across the county boundary and appear to give a better target. The will of Nicholas Cabbell of Warminster (he was born in Frome) proved in 1730 leaves all his Free Land estate at Roade (with ye lesses tharto belonging) to his son Joseph Cabbell. Joseph Cabbell/Cabell married Prudence Cotton in Warminster in 1730 In the will of Joseph Cabell of Road, North Bradley, proved in 1762, he leaves - 1 guinea to each of his daughters Rachel & Prudence, plus other bequests to his son Joseph & his wife Ann. This is certainly the same Joseph. In the will of Ann Cabell of North Bradley she leaves £5 to Prudence (by then married to Joshua Parsons) & everything else to her daughters Betty & Mary & to Joseph her son. I would be extremely grateful for any input to help sort out the minutiae on this family. Many thanks Dave Rossiter
