Colleagues The next meeting of the Oxfordshire Family History Society will be held on Monday 7 February 2004 in the small hall at the Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB. This will be a computer meeting, with the doors opening at 7.15pm in anticipation of a presentation commencing at 7.30pm prompt. The evening will be hosted by the Alan Simpson, a member of the society's Computer Group Panel, who will be talking about "What you can't see through YOUR Windows". The demonstration will encompass a portfolio of hints and handy tips for users of Microsoft Windows, and hence will probably appeal to computer beginners. However, because this presentation will be partly audience-driven, it will have something for everyone. Why not come along and ask a question ? I'm sure that Alan won't claim to know every answer, but either someone in the audience will be able to help, or he'll know where to look to solve the problem. All members, potential members and their guests are welcome. For directions to get to the Exeter Hall, please see the map linked to the society's website at :- http://www.ofhs.org.uk/ExeterHall.html For a list of future meetings of the society, please see :- http://www.ofhs.org.uk/meetings.html Finally, there's the possibility that Alan might put a few notes of the presentation onto the society's website in the days following the meeting. I can't promise whether he will or not, but checking this link in about a fortnight's time might be worthwhile :- http://www.ofhs.org.uk/met.html That link also provides details of other past meetings where online write-ups exist.
