I think I contacted you once before Kay but I am not sure. I have quite a good deal of information about the Besant/Bezant family in Portsea, Hampshire. My Sarah Besant married George Rothwell also in 1853. Sarah's age on her wedding certificate was 21. I wonder if the two families are connected somewhere? On my long family tree which was given to me by another member of the family, most of them lived in Hampshire but one branch of the family went to Dorset, some moved to London and also to New Zealand and Canada. I have a feeling you emailed me before. However my Sarah Bezent was born abt 1827. She married Frederick Crook at Pewsey, Wiltshire, 30 Apr 1853. No father's name on the marriage certificate. I am stuck at that point. Wish they would have put mother's name on but that wasn't done!!! I have checked the Pewsey parish record and didn't find her. She could have come from somewhere else?
