Toni, email the Somerset Record Office for details. They will sell microfiche of the parish registers. --- Toni Evans <toni.evans@xtra.co.nz> wrote: > Would anyone have the Parish registers for > Carhampton Som. abt 1693 on, tried to see if for > sale on the Soc. pages but could not get in. > > Toni in NZ > > > ==== WESSEX-PLUS Mailing List ==== > A master chef - always checks his sources > > A good genealogist - always checks his sources > >
Thank you for this reply but on checking this found that they have a 9 pound charge for orders before the cost of the fiche and postage and this all for maybe two of three entries of one's own. Already donating some older records to Societies. Then this is where I think the $190NZ sub for Ancestry is very much worth the price, already I am having to think how to dispose of my 'records' before my children throw it on the tip, all files and transcribed records go safe houses.
