Hi, One of my ancestors, Benjamin HAWES, was married at least twice, once to Mary Ann COAK (or perhaps DEADMAN) and once to Mary SIMMONDS. I'm unsure who married him first. I have a long list of children found with Benjamin in various census but because both spouses were called Mary it's hard to allocate the correct names to the correct Mother. Mary Ann COAK was also married to a man named DEADMAN at one time. She had a daughter, Agnes COAK, b. abt 1841 in Henley. If at all possible I'd like to ask for a Marriage lookup for Benjamin to the two Mary's, some details have been noted below to help;- Benjamin HAWES b. 13 Feb 1805 at Brockhampton (Father was Robert & Mother Mary). He died 8 Dec 1874. Mary Ann COAK b. 1801 (place unknown) died 20 Jun 1852. Mary SIMMONDS b. abt 1801 (place unknown) died bef. 2 Apr 1871 (i.e. not on the 1871 Census) The various HAWES childrens names are;- Edwin b. abt. 1825 Laetitia b. abt 1836 Benjamin b. date unknown Robert b. date unknown Emily b. date unknown Mary b. abt 1838 Anne Clara b. abt 1841 Julia Harriet Hawes b. abt 1845 Gilbert b. 13 Feb 1858 Kind regards Martin in Essex.
