    1. family story
    2. Great grandmother apparently had smallpox when living in India (not sure of her age when). She survived and passed on her memories of how she eradicated any pock marks by rubbing in olive oil. Has anyone else heard of this? Just a thought to one family story. Linda and Tony

    3. While wandering about on the web last August looking for Rawlings (my great grandmother's maiden name), I chanced upon someone looking for Rawlings descended from Jeremiah Rawlings who was possibly christened at Netheravon, Wiltshire in 1755. I had managed by purchasing birth registrations and marriage registrations, the 1841 census of Wiltshire to trace back to Jeremiah. I whipped off an email to the email address and received an answer within a few days from Australia where part of the family had emigrated. He directed me to another family member in Scotland and soon we were sharing pictures and details about the family. I have a picture of the house that they lived in in the early 1800s and the best part is a picture of my great great grandfather William Rawlings (born in 1825 at Enford, Wiltshire).
