Ok, now you have me going again. My husband's Elliot family left Devon for New England in 1662, Daniel and Dorcas Elliot. They were married in Ide in 1659. Daniel was born in 1636 in Moreton Hampstead in Devon. That is all I know, but would like to know more history of this area during the time of 1600-1660 and perhaps if possible of the Elliot family. Does anyone know of a book or reference area that I could look up on internet. I live in Nevada, USA. I do know that there were many people from this area that left for New England area, do you know from which port they all left? The next thing we know is that their son, Daniel, was born in Salem, Mass. but no word of them living in Salem area or of Daniel's death. One little note that Dorcas died 1680.
