Hello all an URGENT e-mail to to alert you all to the fact that Gosport Borough council are applying to the Diocese of the council to carry out a safety audit to graves in both the East AND West parts of Anns Hill cemetery - that means both side of the road and old and newer cemetery areas. Based on experiences elsewhere this will no doubt mean that any headstones that are leaning or appear unsafe may be flattened. Plans and documents can be inspected either at the cemetery office or Leisre Services Department at Gosport Town Hall and to whom any representations should be made. The information regarding the cemetery appears to be recent and was discovered today. Linda and Tony
