    2. So was I was the only viewer to throw something at the TV tonight???!! Excellent television, I admit, but really - did JP really have to shed the hard-man image quite so often? We (possibly) all have hard-luck stories in our family history, but if we got that screwed up about them, then the psychologist industry would be booming! Also - didn't anyone point out to the great man that each generation adds another two families to trace? (...except my interbred lot, of course - LOL!) Forgive the cynical opinions - actually I quite enjoyed it, especially as we all came from the relatively pure air of Somerset (give or take the odd emphasymic coal-miner!). If it encourages more folk to delve into their roots and, hopefully, link up with the rest of us real-time genealogists, then so much the better. Maybe we should petition Auntie Beeb about who we'd like to see in the next series - anyone with the names Hunt, Talbot, Cross, Almond, Grabham, Bartlett or Carter in my case! Happy hunting to all. Colin.

    3. I actually quite enjoyed the programme and found it one of the more interesting, taking the last series into consideration. One thing did annoy me though - the female voice-over, before and after the programme, who insisted (twice!) in referring to family history research as geneOlogy!
