Hi Ian, What did you want to know? I found a birth record for Sidney in Ancestry, March quarter of 1863. I live in Australia so I help you from this end if you tell me what you need. My problem is one Sidney Bambury (1862 - 28/2/1935) he is the eldest son of Dorcas and George Bambury of Lambrook Somersetshire, I have checked all the population censors for Lambrook and around, I get all their other children Lucy, Sarah, Charles, Herbert,Florence,Edith ( my grandmother) Jacob and lastly Eliza.Sidney emigrated to Australia at the same time as the rest of the family except Jacob and Eliza who I think died before they left for South Africa some time at the turn of the century. I'm glad to have been able to share my frustration, if you can help you will make a senior citizen happy, well not quite as George's Father is also still hiding out there. All the best Ian Goldie. ==== WESSEX-PLUS Mailing List ==== Are they called brick walls because there is always "mortar" find Hampshire Parish Register transcriptions at:www.knightroots.co.uk www.knightroots.co.uk
Hi Karenn, Thanks very much for your interest and kind offer to help me, I have had some researcher send me the scanned entry of the 1871 census so that problem is solved, but as I said I am still looking for info on Sidney's grandfather who also happens to be George he married his cousin Kezia Inder now I believe that his father was Isaac Bambury his ancestors are the ones that's missing. If you could point me in the right direction I will be very pleased. Thanks once again.
