Hello List, I'm new to the Wessex list and would like to let you know where my interests lie. I'm looking for any NORTH clan. They travelled from Basingstoke in the 1700's across to Woodford, Durnford areas of Wiltshire. Some stayed in Wiltshire, while others travelled back to Hampshire into Stockbridge. Most of them were shepherds, butchers, some bakers and quite of few innkeepers! Some others went to Berkshire. The women married STURT's, MARCHMENT's, STEVENSON's,and AYRES. Other names that married into the NORTH line that I'm interested in are: MAGGS, BECKLEY,SOPP/ALLSOP/ALSOP,CABLE,DAVIS, HAYTER, STRIDE, HARRIS, BLOWDEN/BLEWDEN,WATERS and WATTS.
