G'day everyone, While going through some old notes, I came across this Sussex stray in Quebec. I know that Sussex is not part of Wessex, but I'm sure this list will have some Sussex members who could repost it on a more appropriate list. Parish Register of l'Acadie, St Jean, Quebec (available through the LDS libraries). John, son of James Turner & late Jane Standay, born 21st September 1817 at Hampton, Sussex. This information was recorded in the baptism register of l'Acadie as he became a catholic shortly before his marriage to a Quebecois girl. The marriage took place on the 17th July 1838.
