    3. Hi, Sorry, I have no idea. I couldn't find it either. Perhaps someone who lives in Somerset will know? 1. RE: [WSX]Ware in Somerset
    2. DAVID
    3. Hello Colleen and Sally. Below is an excerpt from the 1881 census. The family names are not of importance in this instance, but you will see a reference to Lower Ware. I suggest this is now called Lower Weare which is on the A38, a mile or so south west of Axbridge. If you turn off the main road and go to the school and then bear left you will be in Weare itself within about half a mile. I have lived in Somerset for 70 years and know no other village by the name of Ware. David. Details from the 1881 Census: Address - 6 Bedford Terrace, Mill Road, fareham; Frank Adnams, Head, b1831 (50) alverstoke, Engine Driver; Esther Adnams, Wife, b1831 (50) Midhurst, Sussex; Hannah Haines, boarder, widow, b1820 (6) Lower Ware, Somerset, Annuitant; Mary A. Brown, niece, b1871 (10) Alverstoke, Scholar; Antonio Allen, Visitor, b1872 (9) Richmond, Surrey, Scholar. -----Original Message----- From: Colleen Tapscott [mailto:colleotapscott@tiscali.co.uk] Sent: 09 May 2005 14:39 To: WESSEX-PLUS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WSX] Benoke family Devon and Somerset Hi, Sorry, I have no idea.
