Colleagues The next meeting of the Oxfordshire Family History Society will be a computer meeting to be held on Monday 6 June 2005 at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1AB. Doors open at 7.15 pm, with the presentation starting at around 7.30pm. The evening will be hosted by the Alan Simpson and Wendy Archer of the society's Computer Group Panel, who will be talking about "Are your ancestors in the OFHS CDs?". This will comprise a demonstration of the society's CDs, which include :- 1. census enumerators' books CD sets, which comprise scans of the pages of the enumerators' books, indexes and other finding aids. 2. census indexes. 3. parish register transcriptions and indexes. 4. monumental inscription transcription and indexes - these even have photographs of the headstones or monuments thereon ! 5. the "Oxfordshire Family Historian" - get volumes one to eleven, about 75 issues in total, of our society's journal, all on one CD. All members, potential members and their guests are welcome.
