I finally found my information on a relative, Henry Bond, who was born in Somersetshire on March 12, 1832. He was the son of Thomas and Mary (Ewletts) Bond. Henry's father, Thomas, was a liveryman and passes away in 1860 at the age of seventy-nine and his wife, Mary, passed away in 1869. The family were Quakers. Thomas and Mary had 5 children: Amelia (married Charles Cullen) who lived and died in England; Henry; Thomas who came to California for the gold rush; John who died in Australia; and William who also went to Australia. Our Henry sailed from Liverpool for New York in 1849. That is all the info. I have on our Bond relatives, hope it matches someone elses or is of help to someone.
