I have a relative in Birmingham who in unfortunate circumstances was unable to care for her 2 children. The son was adopted, but the younger girl, born 1902, was sent to a boarding school in Bath. I don't know the religion involved, but there is a history of some members of this family being either Quaker or Seventh Day Adventist - this may or may not help in identifying the school. A bit of a long shot I know, but does anyone know of such girls schools in Bath at this time? There were probably a lot of schools at that time!!! Doreen Roberts (the girl in question) would not have been well to do at all, - so it may be that the school which took her in was run by a charity or a religious group. I am corresponding with Doreen's daughter and trying to help her find more of her mother's past! Any hints as to where I could start looking would be welcome! TVM IA Marilyn
