Can anyone on the list give me any information on the HOSSOM family? Following recent research (and thanks due to Phil Mustoe for his transcriptions) I have sorted out my links with the HOSSOMS who lived in Dunster (Som) until the early 19th century. Most of the males seemed to be called John! The line seems to die out with Rachel and her children who took the name as an additional family name - Mary Hossom PRIDEAUX. Can any one tell me where they came from before Terrill HOSSOM was baptised in 1723. His father, John would have been been born ca.1700 but not in Dunster. Thanks, Steve (UK)
