    1. Re: [WSX] Re-posting interests
    2. Dear Debbie, I read your request on both the Dorset and Wessex sites and wish to mention that I have a FRAMPTON ancestor in the Fontmell Magna area of Dorset. He features in a Bastardy order dated September 11th, 1765. The wonderfully evocative description reads "... as upon the oath of the said Ann STILL on the 25th day of June now last past was delivered of a male Bastard child in the said parish of Fontmell Magna in the county and that the said male Bastard child is l;ikely to be chargeable to the said parish of Fontmell Magna and further that George FRAMPTON of Fontmell Magna aforesaid, Miller, did beget the said Bastard child on the body of her, the said Ann STILL and therefore George Frampton, being now before us and consenting to our making an order in the premises." The rest of the order reads as they usually do! If this George has any connection with your line, I would be delighted to hear from you. He is my 3x gt. grandfather. I have the remainder of the family line, but of George himself, I know little except what you read here. He would have been born about 1730. I have my fingers crossed for a positive response from you! Best wishes, Iain Parsons, in a very cold and windy Brampton, Cumbria.
