Can someone tell me exactly where Eaton Water, Wilts. was located. I have long suspected it being next to or very close to Eaton Hastings, Wilts. It was surely near Lechlade, Inglesham, or Eaton Hastings, Wilts. In the Dooms Day Survey it was called Water Eaton but later is referred to as Eaton Water. Any help or thoughts welcomed! There is a Water Eaton in Oxfordshire south east of the A34 near Kidlington. There are a Water Eaton House and Copse east of Cricklade in Wiltshire.
