In my search for the elusive WILLIAM ASHFORD JEFFERY/JEFFERIES I have stablished that he claims to have been born in Bristol about 1815, one possible sighting is from the registers of St Mary Redccliffe Baptism 30th April 1815 WILLIAM son of WILLIAM and ANN JEFFERIES, William being a Brass founder. There also were other children to this couple as follows Baptism 16th August 1818 born 3rd June CHARLOTTE daughter of WILLIAM and ANN JEFFERIES brass founder Baptism 3rd June 1811 SARAH ANN daughter of WILLIAM and ANN JEFFERY born 22 Jan 1808 Baptism 28th Sept 1806 SARAH ANN daughter of WILLIAM and ANN JEFFERIES and at ST JAMES church Bristol Baptism 30th January 1815 SARAH ANN daughter of WILLIAM and ANN JEFFERIES of Redcliffe parish Brass founder. WILLIAM ASHFORD JEFFERY?JEFFERIES mother was I believe an ANN and according to census returns she was born in Gloucestershire.
