    3. As some of you already know, I am working as a team leader for the "Count Me In" UK Census 2001. The pace is starting to quicken on the run-up to April 29. On Wednesday, my district manager and I calculated the exact number of forms, pamphlets, envelopes, post-its, notices, and Harry knows what else, to be supplied to each of our 28 enumerators. We then spent over 9 hours counting them out and making up the individual supply bundles. Each enumerator gets an A4 size stack between 3 and 4 ft high plus a fancy yellow shoulder bag with training manuals, reference books, language sheets and two ERB's = Enumeration Record Books. Almost one and a half tons in all. Of course, being a temporary civil servant, I am fast learning gobbledegook, I know a good half page of acronyms, and countless abbreviations. I can tell you that it is vital that I know when to use a CE and I1's in preferrence to an H1 . Oh! And I must remember the P1's and the PR's to put them in. Next week, we are appointing our enumerators - some are still needed in some parts of the country, so phone your local job centre to find out how to earn £400 or so (all expenses paid). The training videos are very good. And for those of you who remember Anne Gregg, who presents them, she stll has one of the loviest of smiles. I'll be unsubbing soon as 200 postings a day on top is getting a bit much. And you UK folk, don't forget to fill in your form and post it. Else you'll get an ENR E 4 reminder note followed by a very strongly worded ENR E 5. Regards to you all Ernie Bull Bristol, UK.
