Hi Another first time writer. I am researching a number of families in eastern Dorset. The main ones being :- Froud* Read* Gilbert* Jacobs Preston Amey and Sturney For most the trail goes back to at least the 1800's with those with a * being earlier than that. The villages in question are in the Horton, Woodlands, Witchampton and Gussage area to the south of Cranborne Chase. if anyone else is looking for these families I would be intersted to hear from you.
