BROWN, WHITEMARSH, HAPSGOOD, ASH, ABBOT, LEGGE The above names were all found in a little birthday book that I think may have belonged to Mrs. Kate Studley and beside each one there is either a (T.P.S.) or it may be a (Y.P.S.) I found what I think are the some of these names in the 1881 census. The ones that I located were all about the same age (between 5 and 12). They were from various locations. Jan. 20 Hilda BROWN, 26 Southy St. Bristol, St.James, 5 years in 1881 Feb. 14 Annetta WHITEMARSH, Blandford, Dorset, 9 in 1881 April 17 Helen HAPSGOOD not found April 25 Jean ASH not found Dec 10 May ABBOT, Bideford Devon, 12 in 1881 Dec 26 Linda LEGGE, Shroton, Dorset, 8 in 1881 Any suggestions as to where this group of young girls or apparently unmarried ladies may be together in the 1890s or later ? The penmanship would suggest young ladies. Do you know any of the above?
